It is at the Galerie Modus, Place des Vosges in the heart of the Marais in Paris, that the “Green Cedar Lebanon” association invites us, for our greatest pleasure, to an exceptional event in homage to the land of the cedar for the launch of the exhibition Draw me a cedar.
The paintings, sculptures, photographs, designs, jewelry, and works specially created for this occasion all focus on the theme of the thousand-year-old cedar tree, a symbol of the sustainability of Lebanon. Because of the rebirth of the cedar, Lebanese designers and creative artists responded through Art to this project initiated by Green Cedar Lebanon to free up funds through the sale of their works to regenerate cedar groves by reforesting the country’s forests.
The association planted a forest of a thousand cedars called “The artists’ forest” in Kfardebian during the first edition of “Draw Me a Cedar, ” which brought together the works of around sixty artists in March 2019.
