The “Eternal Love Forest – Loop” was inaugurated in Kfardebian on 21 August 2022, at the invitation of the “Green Cedar of Lebanon Association” headed by Pascal Choueiri Saad, with the participation of Caretaker Ministers Walid Nassar, Mohammad Wissam Al-Murtada, Walid Fayyad, Ali Hamieh, Amin Salam, George Boushkian and Johnny Corm, as well as Caretaker Information Minister Ziad Al Makari’s representative, Elissar Naddaf, and Caretaker Environment Minister Nasser Yassin’s representative, Saad Elias, alongside Deputies Nada Al-Bustani and Salim Al-Sayegh and a number of prominent figures from the region.
Back in May 2022, more than 50 Lebanese artists each exhibited an art piece inspired by the Cedar tree. The funds collected went towards planting a cedar tree forest. 1000 cedar trees were planted in the “Eternal Love Forest – Loop” in Kfardebian.
The campaign consisted of planting one thousand cedar trees in a barren piece of land in Kfardebian. the “Eternal Love Forest – Loop” is a contribution of Lebanese believers in the importance of preserving not only our environment but also our culture since the cedars are a symbol of our Lebanese heritage.
